STP (Specialised Technical Products), a UK-based butyl tape specialist, opened its doors – and at the same time, Accent Manufacturing right here in KwaZulu-Natal was quietly perfecting adhesive putty. In 2016, the two companies joined forces to manufacture and distribute premium butyl waterproof tape across South Africa. The result? Butyl Technology (Pty) Ltd – and the birth of VALA.

Our purpose-built manufacturing facility sits in KwaZulu-Natal, putting us close to raw material suppliers and right on the doorstep of a major harbour for importing and exporting materials. That means shorter production lead times, tighter quality control, and real cost savings – passed directly on to you.
